New York, NY—September 15th, 2015 — The fate of mutantkind will be decided here! Prepare for a new team of X-Men for a new Marvel Universe. Today, Marvel is pleased to present your new look inside EXTRAORDINARY X-MEN #1! Eisner Award-nominated writer Jeff Lemire (All-New Hawkeye, Sweet Tooth) and chart-topping artist Humberto Ramos usher mutantkind into a new era for the flagship X-Men title of All-New, All-Different Marvel! Eight months have passed, and the X-Men are in dire straits. A cataclysmic event that has altered the destinies of both Mutant and Inhuman. Many of the X-Men have gone missing – including their wayward leader Scott Summers. It will take the remaining X-Men to forge mutantkind into something stronger. Something extraordinary!
Storm, along with Colossus, Magik, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Jean Grey and Old Man Logan will lead those who are hated and feared headlong into tomorrow. Welcome to the new Marvel Universe, X-Men – hope you survive the experience! It all starts this October as Lemire and Ramos bring you EXTRAORDINARY X-MEN #1!
This November, launching directly out of Spider-Verse comes a brand-new ongoing series starring the original Spider-Woman! Today, Marvel is pleased to present your first look at SPIDER-WOMAN #1, the new ongoing series from the critically acclaimed creative team of Dennis Hopeless and Greg Land!
Jessica Drew has been many things – agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., agent of S.W.O.R.D., Avenger and so much more. She’s a hero to her very core, but nothing could prepare her for the multidimensional insanity of Spider-Verse! War has come to anyone with spider powers and they’re being picked off one by one. The supremely powerful Morlun and his twisted family will stop at nothing to eliminate every Spider-Man and every Spider-Woman in every universe.
The key to their survival may rest in the hands of Silk, the newest spider on the block, who’s on the run for her life! Who better to keep her safe than Jessica Drew? An experienced soldier, a fierce combatant, and someone who won’t quit – she’ll lead her spider platoon deep behind enemy lines on a dangerous, universe-spanning adventure if she wants to see tomorrow.
“This is the start of something very big for Spider-Woman,” says Senior Editor Nick Lowe. “Yes, it’s a big part of Spider-Verse, but this is going to be a character defining first arc for the SPIDER-WOMAN ongoing series.”
New York, NY—August 22, 2014—This September, it all comes crashing down as Earth’s Mightest Heroes face judgment day – and today, Marvel is proud to present your first look at the oversized AVENGERS #35! The star-studded creative team of Jonathan Hickman, Jim Cheung, Dustin Weaver, Nick Bradshaw and Paco Media fast-forward 8 months, to the battle worn Marvel Universe of tomorrow – and the bleak future facing our heroes. Peer into May 2015, heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe stand at the precipice, and utter decimation looms.
Incursions by parallel Earths from other dimensions have increased in number! To save both universes, one Earth must be destroyed each time! Until now the Illuminati have dealt with this problem in secret. But 8 months from now, the secret is out! The Avengers and the Illuminati are willing to go to war over what must be done – but how could this all have happened?
As this epic, oversized issue jumps forward into the future, what has become of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes? With the war between the Avengers and the Illuminati at its peak, who will be left to fend off the Final Incursion? And what will happen if they fail? The clock is ticking and your questions will be answered this September in AVENGERS #35!
Today’ shipment was not 100%. In other words, it was missing a couple of boxes. I have already contacted Diamond Comics and will hear back as soon as I do. What that means is there will still be a new comic book day, but not all of the comics will be available tomorrow 8/6/2014. Just as soon as I hear more, I will post updates:
It looks like Image Comics has a new hit on their hands. I understand that not only has Outcast #1 by Robert Kirkman and Paul Azaceta sold out of its print run from Diamond Comic Distributors (out in stores tomorrow and going to second print for next month) but that its total sales dwarf both new arc jumping on point The Walking Dead #127 and the subsequent bump that gave to the even higher selling The Walking Dead #128.
